This is a replacement post as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Joining a developing multidisciplinary team in providing a comprehensive child and adolescent mental health service to Leamington Spa and the surrounding rural area.
The Post-holder will support the work of the CAMHS and multidisciplinary teams. This will include reviewing patients with the multidisciplinary team, providing advice on complex cases and holding an individual caseload.
This is a strategically important post, including work for patients admitted to Tier 4 hospital. The Post-holder will liaise appropriately with tier 4 colleagues to facilitate the smooth transfer of care in the transitions between urgent and planned care. The Post-holder will be actively involved in shaping and improving the service offered in the community to best meet the needs of users and carers.
The post is based upon 10 programmed activities (PA's) a week, 7.5 for direct clinical care and 2.5 for supporting professional activity.

Criteria to apply include GMC registration and inclusion on the specialist register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The post holder must also be eligible for Approved Clinician Status and be Section 12 approved.
