Consultant Electrical Design Engineer

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with a consultancy background or similar experience, looking for an exciting new opportunity with a well-established company that's been a pioneer in a competitive industry for over 50 years?

In this role, you will survey and test existing electrical installations, then write reports to document findings and suggest improvements. You will work with contractors and design teams to coordinate project details and ensure everything is aligned. Using software like Amtech or Pro-Design, you will perform engineering calculations to verify system safety and compliance. Finally, you will prepare tender specifications and drawings for upcoming projects, while also supporting and reviewing the work of junior engineers and trainees to help guide their development and maintain quality across the team.

This role is ideal for an Electrical Design Engineer with a consultancy background or similar experience, looking to take on a key position within a dynamic and growing company that supports high-profile blue-chip clients across the UK.

THE ROLE

1. Undertake engineering calculations using Amtech, Pro-Design, or equivalent software
2. Survey, tests and reports on existing installations
3. Preparing tender specifications and schematics
4. Support more junior engineers

THE PERSON

1. Experience in Amtech, Pro-Design or similar design Software
2. Degree, HNC or ONC in a relevant discipline
3. Electrical Design Engineering experience in a consultant capacity
4. Commutable to Harrow
