Role Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to be part of a team conducting disputes and litigation support across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with good written and communication skills, with an interest in business transactions and dispute resolution. We are looking for an inquisitive individual keen to investigate, evaluate, and interpret both open source and human source intelligence information in the context of corporate investigations. The right candidate will be a proactive team player, able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Investigative case work
- Conducting research using a range of open-source tools to contribute to a range of dispute and litigation support projects including asset tracing and recovery, skip tracing, problem solving, and stakeholder mapping exercises.
- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that our proposals deliver solutions tailored to those needs.
- Liaising with our human source network and expanding it by cultivating contacts in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Managing individuals including researchers and subcontractors.
- Supporting throughout the project lifecycle from initial client request to proposal drafting, acceptance, delivery, and invoicing.
- Ensuring the delivery of projects on budget, scope, and deadline.
- Briefing and presenting findings to internal and external clients.
Business and practice development
- Managing practice knowledge and seeking opportunities to improve our current methodologies, including through the application of new technology and new sources.
- Scoping and drafting of proposals.
- Supporting senior staff by identifying sales leads, providing research into prospective clients, and helping to organise sales meetings.
- Supporting senior staff to develop marketing materials and produce thought leadership.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Previous professional experience, ideally within the Business Intelligence industry.
- Experience of managing projects and presenting findings to clients.
- An understanding of asset tracing and litigation support requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to business intelligence and compliance.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Good knowledge of commercial databases, information sources, and investigation focus.
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of business financial reporting.
- In-depth understanding/expertise in a specific industry sector/country or region.
- Additional European, Middle Eastern, or North African language skills.
Qualifications and Specialist Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication in English.
- Understanding of the legal landscape in EMEA.
- Degree from a top institution in areas including finance, law, area studies, political science, or similar preferred.
- Demonstrable commitment to ongoing learning, including by obtaining industry qualifications, e.g., CFE, ACAMS, etc.
