About us

Secondary and tertiary cardiology services are delivered on both NUH campuses, at Queens Medical Centre (QMC) and Nottingham City Hospital (NCH). The tertiary catchment covers Nottingham and surrounding districts, North Nottinghamshire, and parts of Lincolnshire and Derbyshire (population approximately 1.3 million). Secondary cardiology services in Nottingham are provided over both campuses, with the majority of acute cardiac admissions coming through the emergency department based on the QMC campus.

The Trent Cardiac Centre (TCC) is a bespoke cardiac services building providing two new cardiac catheter laboratories, a day case unit, and day case echocardiography. There are also two cardiac surgical theatres, dedicated cardiac intensive care and high dependency units, and combined cardiology and cardiac surgical ward accommodation.
