Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a trusted, experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee and coordinate a residential small-scale project. As a key player in the team, you will ensure that construction work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys working closely with a dedicated team. The ideal Construction Site Manager will be assertive, hands-on, and willing to be flexible as and when the role requires.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Management: Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
2. Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all workers comply with safety protocols.
3. Project Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider team to keep projects on track.
4. Quality Control: Ensure work meets required standards and specifications, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
5. Budget & Timeline Management: Monitor project progress, control costs, and keep to deadlines.
6. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any on-site challenges, adapting plans as necessary.
7. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of progress, site activity, and safety inspections, reporting to senior management as required, whilst taking ownership and accountability for day-to-day decisions.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager (ideally in residential or small-scale commercial projects)
2. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
3. Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS certification (preferred)
7. Full UK driving licence
