Construction/Site Manager

My client is a long established (50 years) specialist in their sector - this includes demolition and enabling works, groundworks, drainage, roads and sewers, car parks, external works and associated Civil Engineering works.

They are looking for Construction Managers due to an increase in new projects and are keen to find candidates from groundworks/Civils contractors.

Responsibilities:

1. Put operatives and machinery to work.
2. Understand construction methodology.
3. Follow a programme and report to the PM on progress.
4. Be involved in site meetings as required.
5. Maintain a good working relationship with the site engineer to ensure all setting out and record keeping tasks are carried out and recorded as required.

Qualifications:

1. SMSTS, first aid, and CSCS qualifications are required.
2. TWS would also be an advantage.

You will also need to navigate my client's SharePoint system to download documents, which would need compiling weekly.

On offer is a day rate or salary and package equivalent, which will be somewhere between (Apply online only) per day with room for negotiation for exceptional candidates.

The contractor I am working with works mainly in the North West of England with very occasional forays further afield.
