Our client, a Manchester based, growing construction company is seeking a Site Manager. You will be based on-site at an industrial cement works in Derbyshire.
This is a permanent role, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of 6 on-site workers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Health & Safety: Responsible for ensuring site operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee on-site maintenance tasks such as sheet & cladding work, concrete repairs, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, and cladding repairs.
Job Processing & Administration: Approve timesheets, order materials, manage variations or extra works, and liaise with estimators regarding job progress.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Develop strong client relationships, manage client expectations, and provide on-site support as needed.
Diary & Task Management: Organize team schedules and manage the scope of work on-site.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in managing construction or maintenance projects, particularly in roles where you have been responsible for overseeing teams.
People management experience is essential.
A background in site management in the construction or industrial sector.
Solid experience in overseeing or performing site maintenance, including repairs of sheet and cladding, concrete, roofing, and other similar building materials.
Knowledge of site infrastructure and the ability to manage a wide range of maintenance activities, from planned repairs to urgent, reactive work.
Experience in managing maintenance work on industrial sites or at height projects is a distinct advantage.
Cladding, Concrete, and At-Height Experience is preferred.
People Management: Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Client Relationship Management: Strong skills in managing client expectations and communication.
Travel Availability: Able to travel to Derbyshire daily.
Essential Qualifications:
CSCS card.
SMSTS (preferred).
Clean driving license.
Site Maintenance Expertise: Extensive experience in maintenance activities is essential.
