Job description

Construction Project Manager

Salary: 40,000 per annum

Type: Permanent

Location: Newport

Hours: 40 Hours per week - Monday to Friday

Acorn by Synergie is working with a client based in Newport for a Construction Project Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Owner & Managing Director, the role will focus on leading construction projects, completing them on time & within budget. Building relationships with & liaising with third-party suppliers & contractors will also be needed to successfully execute the projects.

Job Duties:
  1. Coordinate internal resources, third-party suppliers, and contractors for 1-2 key projects, ensuring flawless execution.
  2. Ensure timely, in-scope, and on-budget delivery of all projects.
  3. Develop project scopes for commercial new build or refurb projects, including clear objectives and plans to stakeholders for technical feasibility.
  4. Manage resource availability, allocation, and oversee project progress comprehensively.
  5. Utilise verification techniques to handle changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
  6. Measure project performance, report to management, and escalate issues as necessary while maintaining relationships with all involved parties.
Key Requirements:
  1. RICS Qualified (not a necessity)
  2. AutoCAD 2D & 3D
  3. Track record in construction, fit out, refurb & building project management
  4. Experience in new build steel portal frame buildings
  5. Experience leading projects from cradle to grave
  6. Knowledge and experience with appropriate software, Microsoft Project etc.
