Construction Planner

Permanent Role - London - Up to £70,000 per Annum

Are you an experienced Construction Planner looking for a new opportunity? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are currently working with a well-established contractor seeking an experienced and qualified Construction Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Duties Include:
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules from inception to completion.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure programme adherence.
  • Analyse project data and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Assist in planning resource allocation, logistics, and sequencing of work.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential scheduling conflicts.
  • Provide input into tender submissions, ensuring realistic and achievable timelines.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to align schedules and project delivery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and programme requirements.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction planning.
  • Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and project management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in both pre-construction and live project planning is desirable.
