An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager / Contracts Manager to join a leading property company managing a substantial portfolio of multi-billion-pound assets. This client-side role will be pivotal in overseeing the whiteboxing of retail and industrial properties across a wide range of projects.

Role Overview:
As a Construction Manager / Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of construction projects, focusing on the whiteboxing of retail and industrial spaces. You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the construction process for retail and industrial whiteboxing projects from initiation to completion.
• Oversee the tendering process, including the selection of contractors and negotiation of contracts.
• Manage and monitor the performance of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring all work is completed to specification and in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and budget status.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including architects, designers, and engineers, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects.
• Ensure adherence to cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, acting as the main point of contact for all construction-related matters.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in construction and contract management, ideally with a focus on retail and industrial projects.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working client-side or within a property management company is highly desirable.
