The position: Salter Grange are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take a leading role in the fit-out of a £138 million commercial development in the City of London for a main contractor. This is a critical position for a skilled professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and has a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. As the Construction Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the fit-out, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage all on-site activities during the fit-out, ensuring progress aligns with the project programme
  2. Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring works are completed to specification and schedule
  3. Enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure all finishes meet the project’s high standards
  4. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on site
  5. Address and resolve site challenges promptly to keep the project on track
  6. Represent the company on-site, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
  7. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including progress, risks, and any required adjustments to the programme
Requirements:
  1. Significant experience in site management roles, particularly on high-value fit-out projects, within the commercial sector.
  2. Strong understanding of fit-out processes
  3. Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors effectively, maintaining productivity and morale
  4. A meticulous eye for quality and the ability to ensure high-spec finishes
  5. SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications are essential
