Job description

Construction Manager
Contract Role - 6-12 Months
£80 per hour
Hybrid / Aldermaston


The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Construction Manager to join a world-leading nuclear defence client based in Aldermaston.


Some of your duties will include:
  1. Monitoring the project deliverables to meet the agreed standards and satisfy stakeholder requirements at each stage of the project.
  2. Supporting and developing the successful delivery of projects using key project management principles, including risk management, change management, schedule management, and quality while always maintaining a focus on safety.
  3. Overseeing H&S forums and implementing H&S initiatives, ensuring safety is at the forefront of the construction phase.
  4. Coordinating resources to achieve successful delivery, ensuring quality of work is maintained and balanced against the Client's own requirements.
  5. Identifying and documenting specific actions including establishing milestones to be performed to produce the project deliverables.
  6. Reviewing plans with architects, surveyors, and engineers.
  7. Managing on-site logistics.
  8. Maintaining and developing excellent stakeholder and alliance relationships.
  9. Supporting the development of more junior staff through technical training and mentoring.

What do you need to succeed?
  1. OND, HND, Degree or equivalent.
  2. Membership of a recognised construction-related professional body.
  3. Extensive experience of working in a nuclear environment.
  4. Site construction experience.
