Construction Inspector

Job Description

GMB is seeking a motivated, self-disciplined Construction Inspectors to support projects located in Sussex County, DE.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include construction administration on projects to include:

1. Monitoring compliance with contract documents
2. Examining workmanship
3. Daily report of construction activities
4. Preparing sketches of issues which appear to deviate from contract documents
5. Gathering information for pay requisition review and/or potential change orders
6. Receiving and distributing test reports
7. Preparing punch-list and close-out procedures
8. Post-construction observations
9. Taking photos and videos as necessary

Works under the supervision of the Construction Services Group Leader and Project Managers.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in the construction field.

Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, procedures, standards, and worksite safety measures.

Physically capable of observing construction activities for a full day in all types of weather.

An even temper, reliability, and ability to work independently/resolve conflicts are essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
