Construction Health, Safety And CDM Consultant

Construction Health Safety and CDM Consultant required by a multi-disc consultancy, working across a range of sectors including commercial, education, energy, healthcare and science.

You will work individually and as part of a team to provide construction health and safety services to internal and external clients, as well as fulfilling the role of CDM Advisor/Principal Designer, ensuring compliance with the duties of the CDM regulations.

This role will suit candidates who have some experience in a similar role but are looking to gain further experience through mentoring, training and development.

Duties include:

1. Working primarily on CDM commissions.
2. Responsibility for managing your own projects.
3. Providing CDM advice and support to Client Teams.
4. Attending Design and Project Meetings as required throughout projects.
5. Visiting project sites.
6. Carrying out inspections and audits.
7. Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, demolition and lifting plans, etc.
8. Undertaking site Health and Safety reviews and producing reports for Clients.
9. Working to deadlines to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
10. Supporting team members.
11. Identifying new business development opportunities generally and assisting with the growth of the Client base.
12. With support, contribute to and develop bid submissions and fee proposals.

Qualifications:

1. NEBOSH general as a minimum.
2. AaPS and/or TechIOSH.

Experience:

1. Experience working as a consultant is preferred.
2. Demonstrate practical experience in providing CDM services.
3. Understanding of risk management and hazard identification.
4. Understanding of the design and construction process.
