We have a brand-new role at Ground Control for a Construction Graduate Project Planner in our Landscaping team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, scheduling and execution of our landscape construction projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring all activities are planned effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Construction Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination of resources, materials, and labour.
  • Upskill our operations teams on the need for accurate project planning.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement contingency plans to keep projects on track.
  • Assist in budget forecasting, cost management, and resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project timelines, risks, and critical paths.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and reporting.

This is a great opportunity for an innovative Construction Management or Project Management graduate with some experience in project planning.

You will need:

  • Some experience using planning software such as Primavera P6, Aster, MS Project, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

This is a hybrid role that can be mostly worked from home with occasional site and office visits as required depending on the needs of the business.
