Post Title: Construction Fire Safety Officer
Location: The Highland Council Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £34,034 - £38,056
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To support the Council Services in all aspects of the delivery of a high quality and professional service to ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation, standards and promote a positive fire safety culture throughout the organisation. Prepare, in conjunction with project teams, construction fire risk assessments in relation to design proposals and plans for works. To support project teams in preparing interim Fire Risk Control Plans where construction works are planned to take place in occupied properties. Liaise with Maintenance Officers to monitor progress of remedial works (identified via Property Condition Surveys) and fire system servicing arrangements to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
