CJN Group have an immediate requirement for a HSEQ Manager to work for a main contractor working on Build, Fitout and Refurbishment projects, mainly in London.
As HSEQ Manager you will work closely with the Head of Health and Safety who is stationed at head office and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and quality control.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Extensive experience in HSEQ roles
- Health and Safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH etc as well as a degree or diploma
- Extensive experience working in the construction sector (ideally with main contractors)
- Access to your own vehicle and live close enough to commute
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with construction regulations and internal policies by conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement compliance management strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry standards, particularly NEBOSH guidelines.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters to foster a culture of adherence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification related to Construction Health and Safety;
- Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent;
- Experience in managing construction safety across large multi-site businesses;
- Credibility and the ability to effectively engage and influence other functional leaders and their teams, to build buy-in to EU Health and Safety strategies and change processes;
- Experienced in operating throughout all stages of the construction lifecycle;
- Proficient in the implementation of Safety Management Systems and safety reporting;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other computer-based tools to support system engineering and briefing/proposal development activities.
- Project management qualification / skills.
- English verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced in behavioral safety approaches;
- Experienced in interacting with cross-functional teams and managing projects with minimal supervision;
- BREEAM.
