Construction Associate/Senior Associate (Non-Contentious) – Glasgow/Edinburgh

Are you a construction solicitor interested in taking the next step in your career? Conekt Legal is delighted to be partnering with our client, one of Scotland’s top commercial law firms to recruit a construction solicitor into their highly regarded practice. Our client’s construction practice is a Legal 500 rated practice in the Scottish market and they have been involved in some of Scotland’s largest construction & infrastructure projects. Working for this team the construction solicitor will therefore get exposure to some of the most high profile and largest construction projects in the jurisdiction.

They are an independent Scottish law firm who are currently at an exciting time in their growth journey and have plans to grow the firm across all practice areas.

Due to the continued expansion of their construction practice they are now keen to recruit a construction solicitor to work on non-contentious construction projects.

The Role

Working as part of this talented team the construction solicitor will be required to advise clients on a broad range of construction & infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in advising, drafting and negotiating a broad range of construction contracts to include SBCC/JCT/NEC, development agreements, sub-contracts, bonds and guarantees and collateral warranties.

You will be!

• Qualified Solicitor – 2 + years PQE (there is flexibility on the level for this role and will look at senior sol/associate/senior assoc)
• You will have a strong technical knowledge of construction law and a good knowledge of construction contracts typically encountered in the Scottish legal market
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
• Able to work well in a team and also across a firm
