Construction Assistant

Liverpool City Centre – Office based with hybrid work pattern

£30,400 - £38,000 + plus strong benefits package and excellent career progression opportunities/support.

What you’ll be doing

As a Construction Assistant, you will schedule and deliver a variety of minor works streams removing hazards from the network, liaising with customers to complete minor works at customer’s premises and supporting the district’s customer service responsibilities with enquiries and complaints. You’ll ensure the delivery of minor work volumes are scheduled in a timely fashion as per targets, keeping customers fully informed throughout.

The Construction Assistant role will work closely with a small team of construction assistants/operational support team members to collectively manage district hazards, complaints and general enquiries. This role is based in the Merseyside Office in Liverpool City Centre and reports to Merseyside’s Senior Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers and service partners to facilitate the delivery of works.
  • Maintain a high degree of care and professionalism to schedule works / appointments and provide customer updates.
  • Manage open cases/works via our salesforce system ensuring all milestones are met on time.
  • Schedule multiple planned delivery teams over a variety of sites/works each day.
  • Work towards a zero-accident culture and lead by example.
  • Help maintain a safe and secure network.

  • Strong customer-focussed skills
  • Experience scheduling/delivering or planning minor works of any nature.
  • Strong communicator and adept in managing competing priorities/tasks.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible individual who is self-motivated with the drive to succeed.
  • Ability to deliver objectives without compromising on safety, quality, or customer service.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate as a minimum:

  • Relevant customer service, data analyses or scheduling/planning experience.
  • Computer literacy
