Job Title: Connected Services (CCS) Project Manager (PM) / Project Management Officer (PMO) (935)
Location: Cranfield
Pay: £27.94 per hour

We are seeking a Connected Services (CCS) Project Manager (PM) / Project Management Officer (PMO) to join a globally recognised automotive company in Cranfield. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to last several years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Project Management: Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle for connected vehicle services, from inception to deployment.
  2. Stakeholder Alignment: Conduct kick-off meetings and maintain ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, including engineering, design, and business units.
  3. Progress Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and provide regular status updates to senior management.
  4. Technical Leadership: Lead complex projects with significant impact on various technical systems and business domains.
  5. Process Improvement: Introduce and implement project management methodologies to optimise efficiency and deliver high-quality results.
  6. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Define project scope, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  7. Issue Management: Coordinate end-to-end issue management, including monitoring and facilitating issue closures.
  8. Change Management: Lead and manage change control processes to accommodate evolving project needs.
  9. Technical Decision Making: Facilitate discussions and drive decisions related to design and testing.
  10. Documentation: Prepare key project documents such as the Project Charter, Project Initiation Document, and Project Management Plan (including Scope/Requirement Management Plan, Communication Plan, Risk Mitigation Plan, Change Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, etc.).
  11. Project KPIs: Define and track KPIs related to cost, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Education: Engineering or Computer Science degree.
  2. Experience: 5+ years in Project Management within the Automotive, Connected Car, or IT industry.
  3. Project Delivery: Proven experience managing project deliveries, tracking vehicle milestones, and project gateways.
  4. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:
  1. Relevant project management accreditation (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
  2. Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architecture.
  3. Business-level proficiency in Japanese communication.

Hours & Pay:
  1. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
  2. Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour.
