Configuration Engineer

CIMPA PLM requires a Configuration Management Engineer, to support the aerospace sector, consulting with and supporting our customer.

You will have an engineering background, ideally a degree (or equivalent experience), having developed a sound Configuration Management know-how in aerospace and or space structure, systems and software.

What you will be doing:

1. As Configuration and Change Engineer, support the customer on maintaining the baseline product structure.
2. Control the evolution of technical data, liaising with the Change Review Board.
3. Provide business operational support on Change Management tools.
4. Co-ordinate Change Management Project elements (Business case preparation and validation, delivery management, etc.).
5. Prepare, run/facilitate workshops to drive As-Is & To-Be analysis.
6. Ensure the delivery is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the plan and governance arrangements.
7. Support in managing project documents:

• Document revision and numbering management.
• Managing Test Reports for components from external suppliers onto Windchill.
• Engineering Change Note (ECN) Management.
• Uploading the documents on to the internal system.

What you’ll bring:

1. Engineering background within Aviation and Aerospace.
2. Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent).
3. The ability to understand engineering design, drawings, and technical change processes.
4. Experience of Configuration Management knowledge in aerospace structure, systems and software understanding engineering design and drawings and technical change processes.

It would be great if you had:

1. Working knowledge of Windchill or other PLM software.

Salary - up to £55k plus 6% variable bonus, Medical and Dental Insurance, 25 days annual leave, Pension

We operate a hybrid working principle, so the role could partially be worked from UK home as well as being delivered on Client and CIMPA sites, with regular visits to site as needed. Travel may be required.
