About the Role

Are you a seasoned sales professional with a passion for the hospitality industry? We’re looking for an experienced Conference & Events Executive to join our vibrant sales team! This is your opportunity to be part of a well-established hotel and contribute to our ongoing success. As the Conference & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the efficient organisation and coordination of all administrative aspects of the C&E department and providing management support to sales team management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Managing client contracts / BEOs relating to Conference & Events
  2. Prepare client correspondence such as banquet event orders and general correspondence
  3. Drive upsells to ensure conversion targets are achieved and monitor success on a monthly basis
  4. Communicate with guests at every opportunity and ensure the overall profitability and successful execution of relative client events
  5. Maintain an efficient administrative environment, have the ability to perform at high standards and achieve objectives despite the circumstances
  6. Participate in client entertaining, functions, familiarisations, sites and industry network events
  7. Continuously deliver functions and events that meet and exceed client expectations
  8. Following up with all clients to ensure a successful event was delivered and potential repeat business is achieved
  9. Liaising with the entire operations team to ensure high quality, impeccable service and experience is provided
  10. Effectively communicating with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest of quality service and professional standards are delivered in the required time frames
  11. Assist with additional duties as required.

Skills and Experience

  1. A minimum of 2 years experience in Conference & Events Management or relevant experience
  2. Experience with CRM Systems, in particular Salesforce (preferred)
  3. Superior customer service skills and experience
  4. Experience in a similar position in a 5 star hotel preferred
  5. Sound computer skills in the Microsoft Computer Suite
  6. Demonstrated sales skills
  7. Impeccable presentation and advanced communication skills
  8. A high level of organisation and able to show initiative
  9. An eye for detail and the ability to liaise with multiple hotel departments.
