The Role of the Trainee / Concrete Technician:
The Technician will be based in the plants around Southampton. Working for this market-leading manufacturer of building products, you will be testing for product quality and conformity in-line with associated British Standards. Responsibilities include:

  1. Sampling of raw materials.
  2. Responsibility for your own Health and Safety and for any visitors or contractors to your site.
  3. Promoting and complying with the Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  4. Accurate testing and reporting via a tablet.
  5. Ensuring timely delivery of tests.

The Ideal Person for the Trainee / Concrete Technician:
Our client is looking for someone who is result-driven, professional, vibrant, self-motivated, and has a desire to succeed. This is an entry-level role; you must have the right aptitude, willingness to learn, and a career interest in concrete. Experience working in the construction sector in a hands-on role is desirable (e.g., site worker, yardman, labourer, driver). The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible, and possess excellent inter-personal skills, along with a good level of physical fitness. Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers are essential. Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards is required. Previous experience in concrete/mortar production would be beneficial, but not essential. A full UK driving licence is essential.
