Concrete Repairs Op

We are seeking a skilled and reliable concrete repairs operative to join our team on a vital ongoing bridge repair project over the M5 motorway in Penrith. This is a high-importance, long-term scheme that involves essential concrete repairs to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the repair and restoration work, helping to maintain vital transport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out concrete repairs, including surface preparation, crack injections, patch repairs, and resurfacing.
2. Work effectively within a team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
3. Follow safety procedures and work in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
4. Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the repair works.
5. Assist in the general upkeep and cleaning of the worksite.
6. Be proactive in reporting any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in concrete repair or similar construction work is essential.
2. Experience in bridge repair or maintenance is desirable but not essential.
3. A valid CSCS card is essential.
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to work safely in a busy construction environment.
5. Ability to work at heights and in challenging conditions, as the job will involve work on the bridge structure.
6. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
7. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
