Salary: £44,208 to £50,424 per annum

Grade: F

11-month Fixed Term Contract

37 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CCTV Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team dedicated to enhancing public safety. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CCTV service, ensuring that resources and information are effectively managed to meet the needs of various stakeholders. You will ensure that staff and assets are deployed effectively, demonstrating value for money and achieving the highest impact for the service.

The post will be working within the Community Protection, Resilience & Enforcement Team responsible for community safety, protection, resilience, and enforcement activities within Thurrock.

The CCTV team works alongside the Council's Anti-Social Behaviour, Street Enforcement, and Parking Team to keep Thurrock a safe place to live, work, and visit.

Duties include but are not confined to:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CCTV service, ensuring that it meets all required standards and delivers a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of partners to ensure effective and timely responses to a broad range of critical incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practice standards to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the CCTV service.
  • Drive continuous service improvement by implementing innovative solutions and problem-solving approaches.
  • Manage the service's resources, including personnel, technology, and data, to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain robust systems and processes to ensure the efficacy of the CCTV operations, including the management of sensitive data and information.
