Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging computer science lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking
- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of assessment methods, providing feedback and guidance as necessary
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field of computer science, integrating new technologies into your teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects that integrate computer science with other subjects
- Establish effective communication channels with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment
- Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities, such as clubs or competitions, related to computer science
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong knowledge of computer programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience teaching computer science at the secondary level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum requirements and examination specifications in computer science
