Computer Science Teacher (Full-Time, Temporary)

Moseley, Birmingham

£31,650 - £43,606 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach Computer Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS.

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a Long-Term Computer Science Supply Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Moseley. The school is well-regarded for its commitment to academic excellence and innovation, offering a supportive environment where students are encouraged to excel in technology and computing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  2. Inspire students with real-world applications of coding, programming, and digital literacy.
  3. Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  4. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

The successful Computer Science Teacher will have:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
  3. Strong knowledge of programming languages and IT applications.
  4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  5. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
