Job Responsibilities of a Computer Science Teacher:

• Deliver comprehensive lessons in computer science, ensuring coverage of the national curriculum and relevant exam specifications.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support and guide students in their academic and personal development.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science and integrate new technologies into the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to school activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.

Qualifications of a Computer Science Teacher:

• Must have experience with QTS, QLTS, or PGCE.
• A degree in a relevant computing subject (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) is highly recommended.
• Strong knowledge of the computing curriculum and educational standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Must have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service for safeguarding purposes.
