Job Description:

The Company and Role

A leading advanced manufacturing business in Northampton is currently seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-precision components across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manufacture one-off and small batch precision components to high tolerances
  2. Set and operate 3 & 5 axis vertical milling machines
  3. Work from detailed engineering drawings
  4. Operate CNC machinery using HAAS and Siemens controllers
  5. Work with a variety of materials, including plastics, foams, and composites
  6. Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all machining processes

The Candidate

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CNC machining
  2. Experience operating vertical milling machines essential
  3. Background in high-precision industries
  4. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  5. Knowledge of HAAS & Siemens control systems is advantageous
  6. A formal apprenticeship is desirable but not essential

The Package

The salary for this position is £14 – £16 per hour, dependent on skills, experience, and ability to meet the key requirements of the role.
