Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join the Bursary Team of this private day school in Berkshire, in a newly created position as Compliance and Procurement Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the school’s internal audit function to ensure full compliance with regulatory and inspection requirements. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team on all matters of regulatory compliance, serve as the School’s Data Protection Lead, and oversee the procurement function across the school. As a member of the Operational Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Bursar and manage a cumulative budget of approximately £2 million.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional who brings:

  • A strong background in legal compliance, risk management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven experience managing significant budgets.
  • The ability to interpret legislation and regulatory guidance and communicate its implications clearly to non-specialists.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a forward-thinking approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Degree educated.

Flexible and hybrid working available. Hours of work 8.30am - 4.30pm.
