We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer with strong operational risk experience in the APAC region to join our team in Hong Kong.

Your future role within QRT:

  • Oversee and execute second-line operational risk controls across APAC, ensuring alignment with global and local standards.
  • Conduct control testing and monitoring to assess framework effectiveness and identify improvements.
  • Partner with regional compliance, risk teams, and external consultants to implement jurisdiction-specific controls.
  • Prepare management reports highlighting risk findings, control performance, and recommendations.
  • Support remediation efforts and process improvements following audits and internal reviews.
  • Track APAC regulatory developments, assess risk impacts, and coordinate updates to controls.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance and operational risk frameworks, including manuals, training, and monitoring programs.
  • Embed operational risk into business initiatives by working closely with functional and business leads.
  • Lead or support gap analyses from regulatory reviews and manage corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent application of the operational risk control framework across APAC offices.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the global operational risk framework in the region.
  • Develop and maintain risk maps; identify, assess, and escalate key risks.
  • Support vendor oversight and due diligence processes.
  • Oversee outsourced functions and related operational risk considerations.

Your present skillset:
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related numerical discipline.
  • 10+ years of operational risk experience within the APAC region with a strong understanding of control frameworks and risk management practices
  • Strong knowledge of regulations relevant to asset management, particularly within the APAC region.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, ensuring high standards and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Skilled in coordinating projects and tasks, keeping key stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and seniority levels.
  • Effective project management and organisational capabilities, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, able to assess complex issues and drive solutions.
