An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a growing and dynamic team in the legal sector. This role offers the flexibility to work full-time or integrate compliance responsibilities into a broader operational or administrative role on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), the role includes:

1. Compliance Monitoring & Risk Assessment:
   Conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities and implementing corrective measures.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
   Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, including AML, data protection laws, and professional ethics.
3. Policy Development & Training:
   Developing, reviewing, and updating internal compliance policies. Delivering training and support to staff to ensure a clear understanding of compliance responsibilities.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
   Preparing comprehensive compliance reports and maintaining accurate records of audits and compliance activities.
5. Advisory Role:
   Providing compliance-related advice to legal teams and management.
6. Incident Management:
   Investigating compliance breaches and swiftly implementing corrective measures.

Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple responsibilities. Experience in a compliance role is advantageous but not essential. Key qualifications include:

1. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly.
2. High level of integrity and excellent attention to detail.
3. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
4. Familiarity with legal software and compliance tools is beneficial.
5. Prior experience in a compliance role, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment (preferred but not required).
6. Understanding of AML regulations, data protection laws, and legal ethics (preferred but not required).
