Compliance Officer for Fire Safety and Asbestos needed in Kingston Paying £27.14 per hr Ref 1498105

Full time on a temporary basis

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Compliance Officer for Fire Safety and Asbestos Awareness to join our team. Reporting to our Asset & Compliance Lead Officer, you will manage and offer guidance in all aspects of fire safety and asbestos awareness for buildings owned or managed by our Housing Landlord. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and compliance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fire Safety and Asbestos Awareness
   1. Act as the point of contact for staff and stakeholders regarding all matters of fire and asbestos safety.
   2. Manage the Fire Risk Assessment programme and Asbestos re-inspection programme.
   3. Maintain the asbestos register, ensuring review dates are met and actions are logged with the correct priority.
2. Programme Management
   1. Oversee the Fire Risk Assessment and Asbestos re-inspection programmes.
   2. Ensure all actions are logged and prioritized correctly.
   3. Manage and control relevant budgets to deliver effective remedial works and inspections.
3. Compliance
   1. Ensure the organisation remains legally compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.
   2. Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with fire safety and asbestos regulations.
