Description
The Compliance Officer will report into the DPO in the Kent HQ and will have responsibility for supporting all areas of ethics & compliance.
This will include oversight and implementation of the global compliance framework.
You will:
- Develop and oversee control systems in legal guidelines and internal policies including:
- Anti-bribery and Corruption
- Modern Slavery
- ESG & Sustainability
- Sanctions
- Cybersecurity, AI & FOSS
- Revise, draft & implement policies & procedures and report periodically on risks.
- Collaborate with in-house counsels and DPO to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations.
- Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
- Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
Profile
A successful Compliance Officer should have:
- A degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer with a focus on Anti-bribery and Corruption, Ethics, Modern Slavery, etc.
- Good knowledge of the data protection standards and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
- An analytical mind able to 'see' the complexities of procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
