Compliance Manager - Manufacturing

Job Description

KHR is pleased to partner with a leading Kent-based manufacturer. Due to ongoing expansion, they are currently recruiting an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing prototype testing (both in-house and external) to ensure the correct specification is achieved.
2. Act as internal subject matter specialist, advising colleagues and peers on technical queries as appropriate.
3. Developing and maintaining a highly accurate certification system including Test Reports, Classification Reports, EXAPs (Extended Field of Application Reports), and Declaration of Performance reports, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and appropriately accessible.
4. Input to and validation of technical content of Company documentation (Technical drawings/specifications, brochures, IO+Ms, labelling, sales/purchasing documentation).
5. Conducting audits, developing procedures, assessing and reporting potential risks, and proposing improvements.
6. Overseeing data within the company ERP system, primarily outputs of configurations and cutting sheets data for existing and new products.
7. Keep up to date with current trends, practices, market developments, standards, and regulatory changes that impact the company's products and procedures.

Experience/Qualities Required:

1. Extensive industry experience required including in-depth understanding and knowledge of compliance, audit, and certification requirements.
2. Ability to act internally as a subject matter expert with an in-depth understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
3. Experience in working with accreditation bodies, trade associations, etc., with proven ability to build good relationships.
4. Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to achieving results.
5. High attention to detail with excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a range of audiences.
7. Very proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
8. Proven ability to work competently both on own initiative and as part of a team.
