Compliance Manager – Insurance Sector (Full-Time) – Finchley, London (with occasional travel to Hull)

The Role

We're recruiting a full-time Compliance Manager for a long-established, family-run insurance brokerage based in Finchley, North London. Working closely with the Operations Director, you'll lead compliance across the business—embedding policies, ensuring best practice, and championing Consumer Duty at every level.

This is not a back-office policy-writing job—it’s a visible, hands-on role shaping how compliance supports and protects every client interaction.

Location: Finchley, London N3 – with occasional travel to their Hull office

Hours: Full-Time

Sector: Applicants must have experience working within an insurance brokerage or direct insurer.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading audits, reviews, and monitoring frameworks across the business
• Keeping the firm aligned with FCA, FOS, and ICO requirements
• Preparing and delivering detailed Consumer Duty Board reports
• Supporting regulatory submissions and insurer audits
• Maintaining policy registers, TOBAs, and supplier compliance processes
• Working as a trusted adviser to the senior management team

You’ll Need:

• Current or recent compliance experience within an insurance brokerage or direct insurer
• Deep understanding of FCA compliance frameworks
• Confidence with SMCR, Consumer Duty, GDPR, and fair value principles
• Excellent attention to detail and a calm, communicative approach
• The ability to work independently and influence at a senior level
