Salary: £51,000 - £58,395 per annum

Location: Darlington / Glasgow / Llandudno

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with Public Procurement experience and a working knowledge of PCR2015 or PCS2015 who is looking for a change out of delivery / operational roles, into Compliance & Assurance.

The post-holder will lead the provision of a highly effective, professional compliance, assurance, supply chain and risk management service to ensure that SLC meets its statutory and regulatory requirements as set out by the Department for Education and Cabinet Office.

What you bring:

  • Excellent knowledge and application of compliance and assurance principles, processes and practices
  • A proven record of improving commercial compliance
  • An understanding of audit processes
  • Proven experience of designing and implementing assurance and compliance processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in interpreting policy requirements and monitoring compliance against these
  • Knowledge of Cabinet Office spend controls
  • In-depth working knowledge and experience of public sector procurement, applying the Regulations within an open, restrictive or competitive procedure and understanding of commercial principles
  • Stakeholder management experience, influencing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the new Procurement Act 2023
