The role:

We have an exciting role in our Risk team for an Assurance and Compliance Officer. This is an additional resource for the team and has multiple stakeholders, so you would be involved in adding value to the second line elements of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Group’s monitoring and assurance program
  • Tracking legal and regulatory changes, advising the business, and implementing necessary compliance controls
  • Delivering engaging training to teams across Collinson
  • Staying updated on relevant legal matters and ensuring compliance
  • Drafting and enforcing policies as needed
  • Managing the Group's Gifts and Hospitality Register
  • Preparing Board Packs, Risk Committee updates, and dashboards
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including data protection, anti-money laundering, and safeguarding
  • Mitigating risks through assessments and managing insurance policies.

This role plays a critical part in safeguarding compliance across the business.

Experience and skills:

  • A good understanding of risk, governance and control frameworks with experience in risk assurance and testing and associated control remediation
  • Excellent understanding of compliance regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build great working relationships with stakeholders, as well as keep an eye on the customer at all times
  • 2-3 years' experience in compliance or risk management (ideal)
