Become a Complex Care Assistant in Thanet, Kent

Continuity of Care Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to provide complex support for our client living with a spinal injury to support him with his independence. Our client requires support both in this home and to access the local community, to ensure he leads an active life. You'll need to be able to cook from scratch as our client likes a nice homecooked meal. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your client to ensure you are well-prepared for the role.

The services you will deliver as a Complex Care Assistant

Duties

The role of Complex Care Assistant is varied and depends on the needs of the individual. You will be offering companionship and emotional support to our vulnerable service users in the comfort of their own homes. Among other duties, you may be offering the following, but not limited to:

  • Complex Moving and handling
  • Accompanying on social events or shopping etc.
  • Basic household chores
  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Catheter, Peristeen Care beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
Complex Care Assistant Job Overview

  • Location: Thanet, Kent
  • Hourly Rate: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour
  • Shifts available: Part-time and flexible shifts, anything from 4 to 48 hours (could include sleep in nights)
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work shifts, Monday to Sunday
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant

  • Previous care experience is essential.
  • Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship.
  • Full UK driving licence to drive clients Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) (essential)
Contract: Zero hours contract
