Overview: Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the 18+ Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a forward-thinking, recovery-focused NHS team supporting individuals at a critical stage of their mental health journey.
The service supports individuals aged 14–65 who are experiencing first-episode psychosis or symptoms indicating early psychotic experiences. The aim is to provide timely intervention, reduce the duration of untreated psychosis, and improve long-term outcomes through early, assertive, and person-centred support.
The EIP team is currently supported by an agency nurse who works four days per week and has been pivotal in managing urgent triage, supporting new assessments, and maintaining a steady caseload. This has greatly benefited the permanent team—allowing them to refocus on clinical priorities, address overdue documentation, attend essential training, and improve patient flow.
This new Band 6 role is being brought in to provide additional capacity, help clear waiting lists, and enhance the service’s ability to provide responsive and high-quality care to individuals at a vulnerable point in their lives.
