The Moor to Sea Community Nursing Team are based at three sites in the South of Devon: Ashburton/Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth, and Totnes. Other than these small towns, our footprint is largely rural.

We are looking for a full-time Community Healthcare Support Worker (37.5hrs/PW) who is committed to high standards of care and who shows enthusiasm and a willingness to be a forceful advocate for the patients they look after.

We are focused on quality of care and offer a supportive network to allow any staff member to develop their potential through education and training alongside a friendly and supportive team.

The Moor to Sea Community Nurse team covers Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth, and Totnes and the surrounding areas. We are a busy, friendly, and supportive team, committed to staff development through education and training.

Helping staff realize their potential in topics of interest to them and encouraging career pathways in Community Nursing is important to us. We are keenly aware of the pressures on nursing staff and how this can impact the overall wellbeing of our staff, and we will listen to reasonable adjustments to improve the working experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Venepuncture and sampling
2. Basic and complex wound care
3. Medication administration (with support)
4. Safe and effective moving and handling
5. Infection control practices
6. Good communication and documentation
