At Accessible Care, we believe everyone provides care in their daily lives. Have you ever made your friend a cup of tea? Looked after your loved ones? Provided somebody a friendly shoulder to cry on? If you answered yes to any of these, then you already have key care experience! With a little further training (paid for by Accessible Care) & guidance we could help you start your new career as a Care Assistant.

Who are Accessible Care and What do we do?

Our Care Assistants have provided care & support to vulnerable adults since 2011, helping to maintain independent living in their own homes. Everybody may require care and support throughout their lifetime and it is our job to help encourage and maintain dignity, respect, and independence to enable the people we care for to live a fulfilling life, in the way they want to.

Our office is situated in Maidstone, Kent but we provide care throughout Medway, Rochester, Strood, Higham, Rainham, Chatham, Sittingbourne, Sheerness, Newington, Hempstead, Twydall, Walderslade and Wigmore.

The thanks Accessible Care gives to you:

  • £200 (unlimited) refer a friend scheme
  • Mileage allowance (35p per mile)
  • 28 days holiday pro rata
  • Enhanced pay rates for Bank Holidays
  • High-level free induction training (you are paid to be trained!)
  • Work to achieve your Care Certificate
  • Blue Light Card
  • Free (and encouraged) career development up to Level 3 RQF in Health and Social Care
  • Free uniforms & PPE
  • Free DBS
  • Seasonal Gifts to you and your children

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • You are a kind, compassionate, caring, and honest individual.
  • You’re looking for the chance to support vulnerable members of the local community, providing a better quality of life.
  • Able to work alternate weekends.
  • Willing to undertake Personal Care tasks including bathing and toileting.
  • Comfortable and confident working as part of a team or lone working.

Accessible Care will support you every step of the way! From your mandatory training to any other specific training requirements needed to provide the best care and support to our clients. After your 4-day training course, you will then complete shadow shifts with our amazing Care Assistants to ensure that you are fully competent and confident in performing the day-to-day duties of your role.

A new carer can take part in as much shadowing as they feel is necessary, and we will always support you through this as a valued member of our team. If you have any worries or concerns, we are here to help you.

Everyone needs to start somewhere; we have appointed many candidates that have little or no care experience or qualifications in the Health and Social Care industry but have the willingness to learn.
