Community and Veteran Engagement Manager - Be the Link Between Service and Support

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of military families and veterans? Do you have a talent for building relationships, driving community initiatives, and creating impactful social value programmes? We're looking for a Community and Veteran Engagement Manager to lead our efforts across the South of England, bringing our values to life through meaningful engagement and partnership.

The Role

In this exciting and people-focused role, you'll develop, deliver, and manage a range of social value projects tailored to the armed forces community. You'll be at the heart of our work with veterans' organisations, military families, charities, and local partners-building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities for support, and creating employment pathways, volunteering initiatives, and wellbeing programmes.

Acting as the key point of contact for community and veteran initiatives within the contract area, you'll work closely with stakeholders, local groups, supply chain partners, and internal teams to embed social value into everything we do. Whether you're launching innovative community schemes, attending veteran forums, or supporting staff to get involved in volunteering-your efforts will raise the profile of our organisation as a trusted partner to the armed forces community.

You'll also play a lead role in communicating our work-producing case studies, success stories, and supporting events that showcase the impact of our programmes. You'll track and evaluate the progress of initiatives and report outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you should have demonstrable experience in community development, stakeholder engagement, and/or social value-related fields. You'll need strong communication and relationship-building skills, solid project management abilities, and a flair for creativity when designing practical and engaging programmes.

Confidence in working across a wide stakeholder base-from military families to senior veterans' organisations-is essential, along with the ability to travel regularly across the region.

Experience working with social value frameworks such as TOMs or the Social Value Portal, along with a personal or professional connection to the military or veteran community, is highly desirable. Knowledge of community project delivery, event planning, and social media promotion will also give you an edge.

This role may involve occasional evening or weekend work to support events and engagement activities, but in return, you'll be part of a passionate and driven team committed to improving lives. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development and the chance to be part of something truly meaningful.

If you're ready to lead with empathy, connect communities, and champion social value-we want to hear from you. Apply today and help us make a lasting difference.

What We Offer
  1. 6% employee matched pension contribution
  2. 25 days annual leave
  3. Company car/Car allowance
  4. Life assurance 2 x annual salary
  5. Single private medical cover
