COMMUNITY ADULT ADHD CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

(BARKING, IG11 9LX)

Contract: Fixed-Term contract for 12 months

Location: Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX

Qualifications needed:

  1. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  2. CCT or equivalent
  3. Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  4. Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  5. Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to:

  1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, especially ADHD, across Barking and Dagenham.
  2. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  3. Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals
  4. Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
  5. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
