Job description

The Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC) is seeking a temporary Communications and Events Officer. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the postholder will help coordinate a busy programme of events and contribute to the Faculty's communications outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of event delivery, including logistics (venue, AV, catering), guest management, invitations, promotion, and on-the-day support.
  • Support updates to the Faculty website and research project pages.
  • Assist with creating content (copy, images, videos) for NMPC social media channels.
Location

Mostly remote, with some activities based in-person at King's College London.

Hours

Hours are based on the resource needs within the Communications Team. The initial contract will be for 1 day/week - any changes in hours from this will be discussed with the post-holder. As an indication of what to expect, here are our forecasted needs:

  • April - May: 1 day/week
  • June - July: 1-2 days/week
  • Sept - Oct: 2-3 days/week
