Description
We’re recruiting for a Communications Manager to join us on a fixed term contract for 12 months. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will help to shape how people see easyJet holidays, both inside and outside the business.
You'll support the delivery of clear, consistent communication that reflects our strategy and tells the right stories, which will include planning and running campaigns for the media and for our people across all the channels we use.
Your writing will speak for the business, whether that’s through press releases, media statements, or internal messages. You’ll manage a press office calendar and lead on proactive storytelling, and you’ll look after media enquiries and respond to issues as they come up.
You'll build strong relationships with journalists and keep in close contact with our PR agencies across Europe, and you’ll be involved in press trips, talent partnerships and influencer programmes.
Internally, you’ll help run our comms channels and keep colleagues informed and engaged. You’ll plan and deliver updates and campaigns that support our culture and bring people along on our journey. You’ll help with organising events throughout the year – whether that’s for press, stakeholders or colleagues, making sure they’re well planned and clearly communicated.
In this role, you’ll lead and support a team member, and step in for the Senior Communications Manager when needed. You’ll also be part of the on-call rota, working with the wider customer team to handle incidents when they arise.
What you’ll bring to the team:
First and foremost, you’ll be an experienced Communications Manager. You’ll have experience of handling crisis and issues communications, staying calm under pressure and knowing what needs to be said and when.
Ideally you’ll have worked with consumer brands and understand how to speak to a wide audience. You’ll be somebody who has delivered high profile campaigns and secured strong, positive media coverage.
You’ll have already built relationships with key media contacts, and you’re confident building new ones. You know the media landscape well and keep your ear to the ground, thinking creatively and bringing fresh ideas, but always making sure they’re right for the business.
Finally, you write clearly and speak confidently. You know how to get a message across, whether you’re writing for press, internal updates, or speaking to stakeholders. You’re detail-focused, keep standards high, and you take pride in getting things right.

The role is full-time and based at our easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport. We operate a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office.
