About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small Modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Input design is completed by the EDF Responsible Designer, with the detail design completed by the equipment supplier.

In addition to crafting the overarching strategy, you will play an active part in authoring and delivering communications and set the directorate up for success for long-term implementation.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with senior management, technical staff and external teams to build awareness of initiatives and ensure clear and timely dissemination of information.
  • Promote our successes: Be a spokesperson for the directorate, promoting the programme through appropriate platforms.
  • Maintain and elevate our digital space: Oversee the directorate’s digital platforms, ensuring the content is current, engaging and reflective of ongoing projects and team capabilities.
  • Monitor and adapt: Track the implementation of the strategy and establish feedback loops to ensure communication activities are effective.
  • Leverage channels: Work closely with internal and external communications teams to establish and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Lead by example: Set the standards for effective communications, coaching functions on “what good looks like” and share relevant tools and good practices to support long-term implementation.

  • Demonstrable experience in preparing communication materials and plans.
  • Ability to understand and segment different stakeholders and audiences and match to appropriate channels of communication.
  • Ability to translate complex topics and strategies into clear, engaging, and accessible communications tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Influential individual with ability to obtain buy-in to proposals that meet business objectives.
  • Ability to respond to quickly changing circumstances and high levels of demand, providing timely, high-quality communications support as needed.
  • Adaptable to new ideas, wishes to continuously learn and seek OPEX.
  • Ability to navigate varying business needs, prioritise workload and coordinate support from others.
