Overview

We are seeking a creative Communications Coordinator with a background in general marketing and a light touch in bid design, ideally within the engineering sector. As part of our growing business, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the company’s services, supporting our brand presence, and contributing to the creation of compelling bid materials. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a varied marketing role with a focus on strategic marketing initiatives, while also providing support for bid and proposal design when necessary.


Key Responsibilities

  1. General Marketing Support: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, and social media, to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  2. Content Creation: Produce engaging marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, blog posts, and newsletters that highlight the company’s services, expertise, and successful projects.
  3. Bid Design Assistance: Support the bid team with bid document design and formatting, ensuring documents are visually appealing, consistent with the brand, and clearly convey key information.
  4. Branding and Messaging: Ensure marketing materials and bid documents reflect the company’s branding guidelines, maintaining a professional and cohesive image across all touchpoints.
  5. Website and Social Media Management: Contribute to website content updates and manage social media accounts to promote company news, projects, and thought leadership in the engineering space.
  6. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs, providing insights to support marketing strategies and decision-making.
  7. Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing events, including trade shows, webinars, and client meetings, to enhance the company’s visibility and foster client relationships.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with the business development and project teams to ensure that marketing campaigns and bid proposals align with strategic goals and accurately represent the company’s capabilities.
  9. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights for future improvements and ensuring that marketing efforts are effective in achieving business objectives.

Requirements

  1. Experience: At least 2-3 years of general marketing experience, with some exposure to bid design or proposal support within the engineering or construction sectors.
  2. Design Skills: Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, PowerPoint) to assist with bid formatting and creating visually compelling marketing materials.
  3. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content for various audiences.
  4. Organisational Skills: Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  5. Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas for marketing campaigns and content, with a focus on engaging and converting target audiences.
  6. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including business development, project management, and senior leadership.
  7. Tech-Savvy: Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and website management is a plus.
  8. Understanding of Engineering Sector: Knowledge of engineering terminology and industry practices is desirable but not essential.
  9. Qualification: A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
