Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, an international law firm, is seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to join its busy Marketing and Business Development team.
This London or New York-based role will be a key member of the marketing team, which operates out of the firm’s New York and London offices and serves 19 offices worldwide. Flexible working arrangements are offered to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be technologically savvy and have excellent academics. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and an appetite for working with people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
In addition to being a strong communicator, the candidate must be able to take responsibility for projects and manage relationships internally and externally. You will be a high-energy, collaborative, constructive team player. Law firm or other professional services marketing experience would be a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching, writing, editing and laying out a variety of marketing materials, including:
- Managing website content such as bios, practice descriptions, and news items
- Managing the social media platforms
- Internal and external HTML communications, including bulletins, newsletters, announcements, and invitations
- Directory submissions, on occasion
- Pitch documents and responses to Requests for Proposals, on occasion
- Advising partners on strategic decisions around external communications, articles
- Assist the team with developing communications adhering to SEO best practices and brand guidelines
- Work with the marketing team and partners to develop effective communications practices and work flow
- Training new team members on new software and tools, where relevant
Qualifications:
- College degree required
- Previous experience in a business development or marketing team
Qualities and skills required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgement in using technology tools
- Excellent writing, editorial and proofreading skills
- Level of proficiency with Canva, Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite, including Photoshop
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills a prerequisite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with Meltwater/Vocus, Hootsuite, Google Analytics and Bright Edge preferred
- Brand management experience an advantage
- Familiarity with law firm culture or the legal market an advantage
- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work under time pressure and juggle multiple tasks without dropping standards
