GBP 30,000 - 50,000
Job description

1 in 4 of us in the UK will experience mental ill health each year. When that happens in Kent and Medway, we're here to help.

If you're a talented communications professional with demonstrable experience of creating engaging and impactful communications plans and content - utilising all digital and traditional channels - to reach target audiences and incentivise behaviour change, now is your chance to join our high-performing, friendly Communications team.

You would be joining at a pivotal time as we take forward ambitious plans to improve how we care for our patients, support and empower our staff and work with our partners.

We're Looking For Someone To:

  1. Produce high-quality and engaging communications to support both internal and external activity for the people we care for, the people who work for us, and our partners.
  2. Plan and deliver impactful and outcome-focused communications campaigns, plans and content that support the organisation's strategic priorities, flexing between working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders, and working autonomously.
  3. Support the delivery of our new identity, helping relevant stakeholders (both internal and external) understand the changes and the actions they need to take as a result.
  4. Proactively source good news stories, and convey them in the way that is best suited to different audiences' needs, helping the organisation raise awareness of its mission and services and deliver its strategic priorities.
  5. Support the planning, delivery, and promotion of corporate events.
  6. Confidently provide expert strategic communications advice to colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
  7. Support the regular evaluation of communications efforts to glean insights that inform future work and allow the production of regular reports to senior members of the trust.

Come and work with us in the Garden of England where we combine exceptional professional development opportunities with a tremendous quality of life.

We are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability and specialist services, serving 1.8 million people across the county.

The nature of our work attracts kindness and compassion as standard and everyone from our cleaners and porters to the chief executive and chairman are recognised as playing a vital role in providing an exemplary service.
